Director General, Implementation Branch, Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada

Georgina Lloyd is the Director General for the Implementation Branch at the department of Crown Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada. Her team supports the meaningful implementation of Canada’s obligations related to Modern Treaties and Self Government agreements across the country. This effort derives from the Constitution of Canada and aligns with renewing the relationship with Indigenous peoples, based on recognition of rights, respect, co-operation and partnership. Ms. Lloyd is part of the Ts’msyen Nation from the north coast of British Columbia. She is part of a cohort for a federal Aboriginal Leadership Development Initiative and an active departmental co-champion for Indigenous voices in the public sector. She studied environmental science and has nearly twenty years of experience leading policy development and program delivery in the federal public service, including more than ten years focused on northern science.
